Celebrating the centennial of Irving Penn's birth in 1917, this book spans the entirety of his groundbreaking career. Over the course of almost 70 years, Penn mastered every element of photograph making. From the pared-down aesthetic of his studio portraits, to his elegant fashion photographs and his meticulous still-life studies, the book provides the most extensive retrospective of one of the most significant photographers of the twentieth century.
